The core team helped build the world's largest outsourcer. Over the past decade, each senior leader and many of our floor managers have had direct contact center experience in a variety of key industry verticals for some of the most well-known Fortune 500 brands.

Dave Dougherty

Chairman and Founder

As Chairman and Founder, Dave is the thought leader behind the Education at Work organization and business model. He promotes awareness of the organization and drives key high-level initiatives that move the business forward and help deliver against the organization's mission, vision and values.

Larry Lutz

President

As President, Larry carries the operating responsibility for Education at Work and all of its business functions. He brings to EAW over 25 years of executive leadership experience in startup, emerging and established companies in education finance and education services industries. This experience, plus a passionate belief in the transformative power of education, positions Larry to effectively lead the EAW organization.

Renée Kuwahara

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Renee oversees all operational aspects of our contact centers and student on client site programs. Renee has had a diverse career having led multiple complex business transformations and revenue driving initiatives in the BPO space as well as in client owned contact centers. Her roles have included such areas as global operations and optimization, relationship management, and M&A. An accomplished executive she brings an inspirational and purposeful approach to the Education at Work organization and mission.

Tanya Gantzer

Senior Vice President of Client, University & Marketing Development

Tanya’s role is to market, build, sustain and grow the client and university-base for Education at Work. She is responsible for building strong relationships with existing client-partners, while seeking new partners who want to leverage the power of our students to fulfill their overall customer service mission.

Steve Rolls

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Steve leads Education at Work in the financial management of operations to ensure cost effectiveness that stays on track with the mission of the organization. His primary responsibilities include budget management, financial planning, administration related to our 501c-3 status, as well as grant writing and donor management.

Chip Burke

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Chip is accountable for the information technology systems within Education at Work. His role includes expanding the IT infrastructure at our Norwood facility, campus locations and new locations that will support Education at Work’s growth.

Eric Spieser

Vice President of Human Resources

As the Vice President of Human Resources at Education at Work, Eric is responsible for defining and implementing a student-centered work community. In addition to supporting our students from hiring through graduation, Eric also manages all human resource activities from policy creation and administration through strategic planning.

Scott Blevins

Director of University Partnerships

As Director of University Relations Scott leads the effort for Education at Work to develop relationships with current university partners and securing new partnerships for future campus locations. Drawing upon his previous work with both academic and student affairs at multiple universities, he understands the importance of creating innovative retention solutions and creating student centered work environments that provide the support needed for personal and professional growth.

Diana Kempf

Vice President of Operations for the Cincinnati Region

As VP of Operations for our Cincinnati Region Diana is responsible for leading day-to-day operations of service delivery for all Cincinnati Education at Work clients. Her 25+ years of experience in the BPO industry allows her to deliver performance that far exceeds client-partner performance standards. Diana has built several high performing teams during her career which allows her to skillfully manage Education at Work's collegiate, supervisory, and operational staff.

Sharon Maestas

Vice President of Operations for Tempe, AZ

Sharon serves as VP of Operations for Tempe, AZ and brings with her 30 years of experience. She has held positions with large telecommunication companies supporting customer experience programs across the country. She has extensive experience in both the strategic and execution end of the call center industry. Her experience guides our efforts at our Arizona State University where she has both the day-to-day responsibilities of developing our student teammates and delivering excellence for our client.

John Pittman

Vice President of Operations Support

John’s role is to help ensure that EAW operations are effectively and efficiently supporting university partners and clients.  Specifically, his team deploys best practices across client programs and all EAW locations, monitors EAW’s compliance with client contracts and deliverables, oversees business intelligence/analytics and client reporting, and provides project management support for the successful operational launch and site stand-up of new EAW on-campus locations.
