Tuition Assistance Program

EAW’s tuition assistance program drives student performance inside and outside of the classroom and gives students the opportunity to graduate college with little to no debt.

Discover the impact of debt on graduates and see the EAW solution to help with the student debt crisis.

Why is student debt such a big deal?

All Education at Work student employees have the opportunity to earn up to $5,250 in tuition assistance per year while employed at EAW.

The tuition assistance program is ‘earn as you go’ which means TA is accrued on a monthly basis. Not surprisingly, the longer students stay employed with Education at Work – the more tuition assistance they earned.

Below is a table displaying the breakdown of tuition assistance a student may earn if they meet all three performance factors for one month.

Payout Examples

Hours

The Tuition Assistance Program factor for “Hours Worked” will be based on the number of hours worked during the week, a week is defined as Saturday to Friday. The minimum worked tuition assistance accrual for that week.

GPA

This portion of the tuition assistance will be based on the student’s semester Grade Point Average (GPA). At the end of each semester, students will be eligible for their tuition assistance accrual by earning a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students MUST be enrolled in academic coursework to earn the “Academic Performance” portion of the Tuition Assistance Program.

Job Performance

The “Performance” component of the tuition assistance accrual will be based on meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set forth by the management of each program. Students must meet or exceed the program’s KPIs by the end of each month. Students performing below program standards will not be eligible for the “Job Performance (KPI)” component of the monthly tuition assistance accrual.

Tuition assistance is accrued monthly. Each semester, all tuition assistance funds are paid directly to the student-employee's college or university and may only be used for tuition, mandatory fees or required books.
